Digital Talent Transformation

Modernising Recruitment for the UK Home Office

The Challenge

The Home Office’s Employer Branding & Talent (EB&T) department, responsible for large-scale recruitment for agencies like Border Force and Digital, Data and Technology Profession (DDaT), faced a fragmented digital presence. They required a unified, compliant, and modernised strategy to attract thousands of candidates into high-security roles across the UK.

The Strategic Intervention

Team Architecture: I built and led a multi-disciplinary creative and channels team from the ground up to support the EB&T department.

Operational Governance: Established a standardised production framework that allowed for the rapid creation of recruitment assets while ensuring 100% compliance with UK Government Digital Service (GDS) standards.

Agency-Specific Execution: Directed the visual identity and digital media management for Border Force recruitment campaigns, ensuring the creative pushed boundaries while maintaining the gravity of the agency's mission.

The Business Impact

Digital Modernisation: Successfully overhauled the department’s digital presence, modernising how the Home Office communicates with the UK workforce.

Stakeholder Trust: Received exceptional feedback for the strategic ability to manage "complex and high-stakes" projects across multiple government digital channels.

Scalability: Created a repeatable model for recruitment advertising that supported brand identity across all primary Home Office agencies.
