The Challenge
HSBC needed a single digital literacy programme capable of reaching frontline staff across a dozen markets, from the UK to Hong Kong, without losing message consistency along the way.
The Strategic Intervention
I led creative direction for Digital Thursday, HSBC's internal digital literacy programme, directing 7,500 digital advocates across 12 markets, including the UK, France, Singapore, the UAE, India, Hong Kong, Mexico and multiple regions across Canada and the US, who then trained their own frontline colleagues in each market.
The Business Impact
The programme reached over 31,000 HSBC employees across those 12 markets, independently reported by FinTech Futures.
The Business Impact
Seamless International Rollout: Successfully trained 3,000 digital champions and deployed digital literacy suites across four major global hubs, providing a unified learning experience for an international workforce.
Brand Integrity at Scale: Maintained 100% brand alignment across diverse markets, protecting HSBC’s reputation as a leader in digital banking transformation while navigating complex local regulatory landscapes.
Future-Proofed Infrastructure: Created a scalable digital media repository and content template system that served as the foundational blueprint for HSBC’s ongoing digital initiatives, eventually serving 31,000 employees across 12 markets.
